IFPE's Presidents

M. Chet Mirman and Arthur T. Pomponio
M. Chet Mirman, Ph.D. has been an enthusiastic member of IFPE since 2007, where he has served as a board member and conference chair. He is a practicing clinical psychologist and retired professor, having taught at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Michigan State University and Loyola University, and was the Director of Clinical Training at Forest Hospital in Des Plaines, IL. Chet has written over 50 book chapters, articles, and papers that he’s presented at professional conferences.
Arthur T. Pomponio, Ph.D., L.P., is a training analyst, instructor, supervisor, and senior member of the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis (NPAP). He is former president of the training institute, dean of faculty and curriculum, and board member at NPAP. Presently, he directs NPAP's Practice-based Psychodynamic Learning Center (PPLC), a training program for licensed clinicians seeking to deepen their clinical skills in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Art has been attending IFPE conferences for over ten years and has participated on the board for four years.
